So soon...

I finally received my housing arrangements! I googled practically my entire neighborhood via google satellite maps. I'm in a district called Los Remedios which in English means...take a guess...'remedies'. Knowing where I'll be living for the next four months gave me a relief. I also got in contact with my future roomie and she seems quite nice! Hmm, the other part, walking to school is a 30 minute walk, good or bad thing?
I also picked up last minute things from good ole Walmart & Walgreens and kept it under $20, yay!

So here's a pic of the dress I bought earlier. After the alterations, it fit perfect! The picture is from my nephew's Christening this past Sunday. Let's just say there was lots of drinking and dancing!

Today my new Canon came in so it’s time to test out that baby! I ordered it from Amazon and was $50 cheaper than Best Buy. It’s time to read that manual and get the best out of it. It has an HD video mode so I’m excited about that because it can come in handy while abroad, at least I hope so. Everyone knows I’m obsessed with taking pictures any chance I get, so hopefully this camera lives up to its expectation. My collage poster also came in today from Snapfish.com. They gave me the collage as a credit so I only paid $1.99 for shipping. Talk about a deal! I’m going to post up a picture soon so you can see the great quality.
On a random note, Hayden Panettiere was in one of the Yahoo, OMG stories. She is so gorgeous & her style…well, let’s just say I’m quite jealous.

So little time...

So the dress came in last week & it's definitely cute but the color was different than in the picture, it's a more vivid green. I'm getting it altered so hopefully it's perfect when it's all done. The shoes are great too, can't wait to start wearing them! Today was a somewhat productive day, I feel like I have done nothing since I finished my semester back in December. I finished my resume, which needed to be done, met up with my friend who I haven't seen in a while, finally finished a book (and I mean finally) and making a list after work. I can't believe I only have two weeks before I leave. I don't know if I should be sad or happy...I don't feel ready at all. I have to figure out what exactly I'll be packing, need to buy last minute things, and make copies of important documents, and leave behind some important info for my parents just in case. I can't wait for my host family info to come in, I'm so excited to know a little about them I don't think I can wait. But I guess with a little bit of patience and hard work, I can get all of this done and still be stress free...possible? I hope so...

I needed to find an appropriate dress for my nephew's christening and with a time crunch, I got pretty worried. I stumbled upon this dress from Macy's.com I love the color and style & for $34.99, how could I pass this up? I'm waiting for it to arrive so I will let you guys know how I like it.
...And I also bought these shoes, for $34.99 as well. Hopefully they're as cute as they seem. Wait..I just checked out the site and they're now $25.72, hmm...definitely going to see if I can get a price adjustment :)

Hey Everyone,

So...I leave in exactly three weeks to Spain. This blog is dedicated to share some of my travel stories with friends and family. Of course, anyone who is interested can also come along with me on my new and exciting adventure. I probably won' post much until I get there so feel free to check in later.

Just a little bit about myself for those who are curious:
I'm 21 and currently a college student majoring in Spanish. By the end of May 2011, I will hopefully be a certified teacher. I'm really interested in translation, which would be a dream job for me, so I'm slowly trying to get my foot in the door, let's see how that goes.
